1.  Mapping analysis on innovative models of community enterprise development in academic communities and Best Practices in HED:  : This activity involves reviewing existing research and literature related to community enterprise development in academic communities. The review will aim to identify gaps in the current knowledge and highlight potential areas for further research.  The analysis will aim to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the models and highlight areas for improvement.  Conducting interviews with experts and stakeholders, will gather first-hand information on the experiences of those involved in community enterprise development.  This activity involves developing an accreditation framework for higher education institutions and accrediting agencies to promote enterprise community development that fosters community-led and community-owned enterprises, promotes civic engagement, and promotes social inclusion, conducting a literature review on the best practices in higher education for enterprise community development that foster community-led and community-owned enterprises and promote civic engagement. 

 

2. Training Programme Designing for building up knowledge, skillsets and competencies of learners on the concepts of community-led local development:  This course provides learners with the knowledge, skillsets, and competencies needed to create community-led and community-owned enterprises that promote civic engagement and social inclusion. Through this initiative, university graduates and social innovators will acquire the capacity to empower marginalized groups and disadvantaged locations, thereby creating wealth and promoting social inclusion, including:

3.  Digital learning repository creation: 
A comprehensive plan for updating and expanding the repository on an ongoing basis will be developed, designing a Digital Repository designing, in form of an open resources platform, incorporating a user interface design, as a mobile-friendly and responsive design that allows access to the repository on different devices. The content will contain: a.Educational Book: Introduction to community-led and community-owned enterprises: Start by defining what community-led and community-owned enterprises are and why they are important. Provide examples of successful community-led and community-owned enterprises; b. Legal and regulatory considerations’s manual: An overview of the legal and regulatory requirements for starting and running community-led and community-owned enterprises, with business structures, tax implications, and compliance requirements; c. Business planning webinars: As guidance on developing a business plan, including identifying a target market, creating a marketing strategy, and securing funding; d. Marketing and branding portal with social enterprises: Share best practices for developing a strong brand identity, including creating a logo, by choosing a color scheme; e. Mentoring courses and training sessions: Courses and training sessions on specific topics related to community-led and community-owned enterprises, such as financial management, measuring and reporting impact, and showcase successful examples of enterprises that prioritize social and environmental responsibility; f.Entrepreneurship competitions: Host entrepreneurship competitions where learners can pitch their community-led and community-owned enterprise ideas to a panel of judges. Offer prizes for the most innovative and impactful ideas; g. Guest speaker series: Invite successful community-led and community-owned enterprise founders and leaders to speak to the class about their experiences and insights. Allow time for learners to ask questions and engage in discussion.
